Tasting notes
Full ruby-red. Plum, spicecake, chocolate, mocha and nutty oak on the nose. Lush on entry, then compellingly sweet and plump in the middle, with a distinctly confectionery quality to its mouthfilling fruit. This will never be mistaken for an Old World wine. With its exotic sweetness, soft tannins and chocolatey oak, this is a guilty pleasure.

It is hard to find much better Merlot than Foley’s 2007 Merlot. This is a blockbuster wine as well. Opulent, exuberant, with that certain “wow” factor from layers of melted fudge, espresso roast, plum, fig, and black cherry and currants, there is an impression of sweetness because of the high levels of alcohol/glycerin. This is a whopper to drink over the next 14+ years. As one might expect from Robert Foley, these are all massive wines, opaque purple in color, and filled with personality and concentration. Tel.
