Score 94/100 · Drink 2021-2029, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2021
Lots of red and blue fruits, cured meats, and flowery incense emerge from the 2018 Grenache El Diablo, which comes from the Russian River and is 98% Grenache and 2% Syrah. Medium to full-bodied, it has good ripeness, moderate tannins, and just a delicious, balanced style that’s ideal for drinking over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2018 El Diablo is another stellar wine in this range. Bright, bold and punchy, the 2018 is endowed with terrific energy. Crushed rocks, flowers, lavender, dark red-toned fruit and gravel open in the glass. The 2018 is dark and brooding, but also has terrific energy backing it all up.
