Tasting notes
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Her Majesty's Secret Service is another relatively soft, open-knit wine that should drink well with minimal cellaring. Savory herbs, tobacco, earthiness and licorice add shades of dimension. Aaron Pott has done a formidable job in taming the normally intense, austere young Stagecoach tannins. This racy, attractive Cabernet Sauvignon holds plenty of appeal.

Moving back into a more forceful, masculine and primordial style is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Her Majesty’s Secret Service from the Stagecoach Vineyard. Dense purple, with plenty of blackberry, cassis, crushed rock, licorice and cedar wood, this wine has fabulous fruit on the attack and midpalate, is full-bodied, and chewy with multiple layers of fruit and extract. This is long in the finish and will benefit from several years of bottle age and keep 20-25 or more years.
