Tasting notes
Notes of graham crackers and baking spices frame blueberries and cherries on the nose of Tierra Roja's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. It's fruit-forward in flavor but includes enough earthy, savory elements to make it more than that. Full-bodied and lush, with a long, elegant finish tinged with licorice, it's tannic but ripe, making it accessible now but also capable of aging well for more than a decade.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is cut from the same cloth, with plenty of red and black fruit, notes of cedarwood and spice, full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and a great finish. It's certainly more round and expansive on the palate, with terrific tannins, and where the 2018 needs a few years, this beauty is ready to go. Nevertheless, it should evolve for two decades.
