Tasting notes
Planted in 1991 on compacted volcanic ash in Coombsville, the Ceniza Vineyard is dry-farmed and organic. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ceniza Vineyard features scents of crushed stone and dried herbs—it's even almost dusty on the nose—but also dark-fruited (think cassis). In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with hints of dark chocolate and black olive on the long, savory finish. (JC) 93+
