Score 96/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Jeb Dunnuck, Apr 2020
The flagship is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Armaan Tench Vineyard. It’s certainly the most concentrated and opulent in the lineup, yet it still shows the more classic style of the vintage nicely. Deep purple/plum-hued, with a monster bouquet of black cherries, chocolate covered blueberries, baking spices, mocha, iron, and licorice, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a dense, powerful mid-palate, sweet tannins, and a seriously long finish. It almost matches the brilliant 2016 and is a powerhouse of a Cabernet from Russell Bevan to enjoy over the coming 15 years or so.
