Tasting notes
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Correlation is powerful, intense and jammy, with plenty of dark fruit, chocolate, oak and spice, which, despite their intensity, can't completely cover the astringent tannins. Overall, this is a solid, but formulaic, phoned in effort with no creativity, much less anything that might speak to Spring Mountain.

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Correlation is an intense, brooding wine. Plums, tar, black cherries, spices, cloves and leather meld together in a dark, pliant Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 is going to spend another four months in barrel. It will be interesting to see what that time brings. Today, the 2012 is a decidedly dark, powerful wine. The Correlation is made from neighboring vineyards on Spring Mountain.
The impressive, full-bodied, multidimensional 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Correlation ratchets up the opacity of the color. It exhibits impressive blackberry and blueberry fruit, camphor and white flower characteristics. It should drink beautifully for 10-15 years.
