2000 Carver Sutro Petite Sirah Palisades Vineyard

The 2000 Petite Sirah Palisades Vineyard exhibits a saturated purple color as well as a sumptuous nose of black fruits intermixed with loamy soil, flower, leather, and wood notes. Dense and full-bodied, with terrific fruit intensity, it should hit its peak in 5-6 years, and last for 16-18. This serious effort was a barrel sample from Calistoga’s Palisades Vineyard, located in the northern end of the valley, with relatively old head-pruned vines. Tel. (707) 942-1029
