Tasting notes
Very pale colour, with pithy citrus and smoky reduction on the nose. Spiky acidity makes this mouth-watering and fresh. All citrus and green fruits, this is very lively. The reduction adds intrigue and there is some textural weight to help cut through that searing acid. Zippy, clean finish.

Pale yellow-gold. Heady, incisive aromas of ripe pear, nectarine and saffron, with ginger, vanilla and oak spice nuances that build as the wine opens up. Rich yet surprisingly energetic and focused, offering intense, mineral-laced orchard and pit fruit flavors that are given spine and lifted by a vein of juicy acidity. The floral and vanilla notes repeat strongly on an extremely long, seamless finish that shows superb clarity and power.
Coming from the rockiest part of the vineyard, the 2015 Chardonnay Soberanes Vineyard sees all native fermentations and roughly 50% new oak (a small portion was done in a second-fill foudre). This gorgeous Chardonnay offers classic stone fruits, hints of pineapple, brioche and white flowers. Elegant, layered, and impeccably balanced on the palate, this is a sensational Chardonnay to drink over the coming 4-6 years.
