Tasting notes
The cool and stylish nose combines both upper and lower register aromas of cranberry, raspberry and cherry together with plum and dark currant scents. There is good punch and delineation to the nicely voluminous and appealingly textured flavors that possess the best balance in the range as there is only the barest trace of finishing asperity. *Outstanding*

Wonderfully layered and sensual in the glass, the 2012 Pinot Noir Comptche Ridge Vineyard is all about texture, silkiness and polish. Dark red cherry, plum, licorice, smoke and star anise are some of the many notes that grace the palate in this exquisite, layered Pinot. The 50% whole clusters add lift, but are also nicely integrated. (AG)
Ruby-red. Pungent aromas of cherry, licorice, black cardamon and black pepper. Chewy and fruit-driven, with bitter cherry and redcurrant flavors complicated by smoky mineral and herb nuances. Rich but lively, thanks to a spine of tangy acidity. Finishes with dusty, fine-grained tannins, good grip and lingering spiciness.
