Tasting notes
Bright violet. Fresh red and dark berry aromas are impressively pure and penetrating, with notes of smoky herbs and flowers adding complexity. Lively raspberry and blackberry flavors are given spine by zesty minerality and pick up an exotic lavender pastille note with air. The finish is focused and impressively long. This is already delicious but has the balance to age. Sussex Wine Merchants, Mooresville NJ ; Margaux & Company, Charlottesville VA

An opaque ruby/purple hue is followed by notes of crushed blueberries, black raspberries, incense, and spring flowers. This terrific, dense, ripe, full-bodied, impressively pure, layered wine begs to be consumed over the next decade. Importer: AOC Fine Wines, www.aocfinewines.com
