Tasting notes
The deeper purple/ruby-hued 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Family Vineyard comes from a site in the Oak Knoll District. It's slightly more closed and has a mineral-edge in its black fruits, tobacco, chocolate, and spicy aromas and flavors. It's beautiful on the palate, offering full-bodied richness, a round, supple texture, present tannins, and outstanding length.

A rich, creamy wine, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Family Vineyard is surprisingly opulent for a cool-climate Cabernet. Soft contours and deep, fleshy fruit give the wine its intense, voluptuous personality. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, incense and cloves build into the huge, dramatic finish.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Family Vineyard captures all of the savory intensity and nuance of this Oak Knoll site. It is a bit lithe in feel relative to the other wines in this range, but makes up for that with its persistence and fine overall balance. Hints of chocolate, spice, leather and scorched earth complement the dark-toned fruit nicely.
