Tasting notes
Coming from the Sonoma Mountain AVA, the 2018 Pinot Noir Cuvee Eva Marie has loads of distinct minerality as well as crunchy red fruits, notes of white flowers, violets, and spice, medium body, a fresh, focused texture, and both fine tannins and nicely integrated acidity. I finished my note with “Gorgeous stuff.”

The 2018 Pinot Noir Cuvée Eva Marie is one of the finest wines I have tasted from Three Sticks. The Eva Marie emerges from Bill Price's One Sky property on Sonoma Mountain. What I like most about the 2018 is its structure, energy and overall drive, but time in the glass really allows the fruit to blossom. This is an especially taut Pinot that captures the essence of a north-facing slope at altitude. Readers will have to be patient with the 2018. It's an exquisite wine in the making.
