Tasting notes
There are 77 cases of the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve, a full-bodied wine that's not all that different from the regular Cabernet Sauvignon. I wasn't able to discern how its considerable premium is justified.

There are under 100 cases of the 2015 Estate Reserve, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 95% new French oak. Similarly inky colored with killer notes of blackcurrants, espresso roast, chocolate, gravelly minerality and hints of leafy herbs, this beauty hits the palate with a full-bodied, powerful, layered style that's already hard to resist. Possessing brilliant purity of fruit, building tannin, and a big finish, it's a power-packed beauty from this team that's going to have 20-25 years of overall longevity.
Bright saturated ruby. Aromas of boysenberry, blackberry and violet sexed up by mocha oak. Plush, broad, savory wine with terrific concentration and texture and a restrained sweetness to its dark berry and mocha flavors. Still a bit reduced. Finishes with substantial ripe, chewy, tongue-dusting tannins and excellent length. Quite plush and deep but does it possess the tightly coiled spring and lift of the regular bottling? Except for the slight reduction, this beauty seems approachable now.
