Tasting notes
The 2017 Zinfandel Jackass Vineyard is dark, powerful and voluptuous, with tremendous concentration and textural intensity throughout. Black cherry, plum, leather, cedar, licorice, and dried flowers all take shape in the glass. Round, succulent and flamboyant, the 2017 is bursting at the seams with character and personality.

Medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Zinfandel Jackass Vineyard has a warm yellow peach, blackberry, blueberry and black cherry-scented nose. It has concentrated, ripe, jammy fruit in the mouth, with fine, grainy tannins, good juicy acidity and a long, peachy finish. 246 cases produced.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
