Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Teucer offers better balance than the 2014 tasted alongside it. A heady concoction of black cherry, plum, bittersweet chocolate, smoke and leather gives the 2015 its dene, opulent finish. Although not especially subtle, the 2015 packs a big punch. It should drink well for the next decade.

Coming from Coombsville AVA, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Teucer Vineyard is one of those real stand-out, singular wines, revealing a deep purple-black color and profoundly intense nose of cassis, black soil and black cherries with hints of charcoal, allspice, violets and dark chocolate plus a waft of dried leaves. Full-bodied and built like a brick house, the palate is packed with loads of flavor layers, framed by ripe yet firm, grainy tannins and finishing very long with mineral suggestions.
