Tasting notes
I loved the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, a big, rich, powerful wine loaded with notions of red and black fruits, dark chocolate, graphite, scorched earth, and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied, mouth-filling, and opulent, it has loads of sweet fruit yet also still-present ripe tannins that give the palate and finish focus and length.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is looking incredibly youthful, sporting a profound nose of warm black plums, blackcurrant cordial and blueberry coulis with hints of mocha, cinnamon, sandalwood, aged meat, cardamom and menthol plus a touch of fertile loam. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in the mouth, it features tons of seductively spicy black and blue fruits, with a rock-solid grainy frame and bags of freshness on the very long finish.
