Score 91/100 · Drink 2016-2023, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016

The 2013 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard is an attractive, mid-weight wine to drink over the next handful of years. Crushed flowers, sweet red berries and a dash of white pepper give the Savoy an attractive sense of aromatic lift. The typical weight of this Anderson Valley site never truly develops in the glass, leaving the wine with an uncharacteristically mid-weight feel and sense of structure.

Sweet dried cherries, mint, anise, tobacco and crushed flowers lift from the glass in the 2013 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard. As always, the 2013 possesses lovely focus, direction and energy, but perhaps a bit less freshness and overall mid-palate depth than is typically the case here.
