Score 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2010

Good dark red. Wild, slightly meaty aromas of briary raspberry and musky tobacco, with a spicy element emerging with aeration. Supple, suave and on the dry side, with sneaky intensity and good sappiness to the persistent flavors of black raspberry, blackberry and game complicated by herbs and spices. Firm acidity and solid but fine-grained tannins give this wine good shape.
