The 2012 Carema Etichetta Bianca is quite the powerhouse. It is an unusually ripe wine for the estate, in both its flavor profile and textures. Those qualities lend quite a bit of immediacy, but the style is somewhat of an outlier relative to what the estate's most diehard fans are likely to expect. I would give this a few years to soften, as the tannins are pretty imposing today.

The 2012 Carema Etichetta Bianca is a wine of real pedigree and class. Lifted, perfumed and sensual, the 2012 possesses striking inner perfume and exceptional balance. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, mint, pine and wild flowers all open up in the glass, but it is the wine's silkiness and overall grace that are most impressive. This is a superb showing from Ferrando.
