The 2009 is impossible to resist today, and I imagine it will still be going strong in another decade. This is a totally beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon from Heidi Barrett.

The 2009 is impossible to resist today, and I imagine it will still be going strong in another decade. This is a totally beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon from Heidi Barrett. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. I always enjoy tasting the wines Heidi Barrett makes under her La Sirena label. The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as understated today. Ripe red fruit, flowers, licorice and mint are some of the notes that emerge from this gracious, refined Cabernet Sauvignon. High-toned, floral notes round out the finish. The 2009 had just been bottled at the time of my visit. It will be interesting to see where the wine goes from here.
