2012 Melka Majestique Paderewski Vineyard

The 2012 Syrah Paderewski Vineyard is a very pretty wine, even if varietal notes are covered by a more Bordeaux-like set of aromas and flavors. Dark red and black stone fruits, graphite and spices are all nicely delineated. The 2012 was done with 30% whole clusters, but there are very few savory traces of the stems. Drink this atypical, forward Syrah over the next few years.
