Tasting notes
There are a scant 600 bottles of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Collection and it’s one of the standouts in the lineup. Offering up lots of red and black currants, classy oak, lead pencil, and espresso notes, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, lots of background oak, and a great finish. This uber-ripe, dense, powerful 2018 should benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and have 15 years of overall longevity.

Lots of up-front blue fruits, plums, candied violets, and spice notes emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, a terrific appellation release from this estate. Playing in the medium to full-bodied end of the spectrum, it has a solid spine of acidity, ripe tannins, and the streamlined, elegant, focused style of the vintage on the palate. It's going to keep for 15+ years.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a gorgeous wine. Inky dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and cloves power through to the finish. The Napa Valley Cabernets is intense - as all these wines - are, but it has plenty of grip, too.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon features scents of baked blackberries, crème de cassis and blueberry compote with suggestions of sandalwood, camphor and spice cake plus a touch of clove oil. The full-bodied palate is richly fruited and decadent yet firmly supported by grainy tannins and tons of freshness, finishing spicy.
