Tasting notes
Ruby-red. Sexy, spice-accented dark berry and spicecake aromas show excellent clarity and are complemented by suggestions of vanilla and candied rose. Offers palate-staining blackberry, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that tighten up slowly in the mid-palate and pick up an exotic hint of five-spice powder. Finishes smooth, sappy and youthfully tannic, with strong persistence and resonating floral and spice notes.

Coming from a terrific site in the heart of the appellation, the 2015 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard (this vintage includes clone 23 and was completely destemmed) gives up a fresh, lively, Burgundian style to go with sappy strawberries, sappy herbs, and mint in an ethereal, silky style. Showing the vineyard style with its freshness and purity, with good acidity, it should keep for 7-8 years.
The 2015 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard has an earthy nose of dried leaves and dusty soil over a core of red cherries and red plums, plus notes of spice box and black pepper. Medium-bodied and with a wicked backbone of refreshing acidity, it has satiny tannins and tons of juicy red berry flavors, finishing on an earthy note. 640 cases were made.
