Moderately saturated bright red. High-toned raspberry and nutty aromas lifted by a floral topnote. Juicy and brisk, with bright acidity and lively red fruit and floral flavors that reminded me of a pinot noir. This was aged in neutral oak.

The beautiful 2004 Sangiovese offers classic strawberry, earth, and leathery aromas, medium body, fine texture, a layered mouthfeel, and surprising depth.
