Good dark red. Subdued but pure aromas of briary black fruits, game, spices, rose and underbrush. Big, broad, rich and ripe, if distinctly warm with alcohol (no surprise for a wine that admits to 15.3% on the label). This, too, could use more delineation of flavor, but it's undeniably mouthfilling. Finishes with rich but dry raspberry fruit and noteworthy persistence.
