Tasting notes
From one of Napa’s cooler micro-climates, Yountville, Keever’s 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals lovely, sweet licorice and red and black currant notes, a stylish, gracious, medium to full-bodied style, and impressive purity, texture, and length. This is a quintessential, elegant Napa Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Tel. (707) 944-0910

Moderately saturated red-ruby. Blackcurrant syrup and black raspberry aromas complicated by cocoa powder and minerals. Dense and quite ripe, with rather muscular flavors of cassis, graphite and dark chocolate. Finishes with a slight tannic toughness but good floral lift. According to consulting winemaker Celia Masyczek, cooler afternoons in this spot in the western hills of Yountville allow for good retention of color and aromatic intensity.
