Tasting notes
The 2021 Chardonnay Olivet Lane pours a youthful yellow with green tinge and has a light hazy appearance. It’s fresh with ripe green apple and honeyed citrus, and the palate is full-bodied, with a soft texture and notes of frangipane, lemon curd, and fresh pear. It’s long on the finish. Drink 2024-2035.

The 2021 Chardonnay Olivet Lane Vineyard comes from vines planted in the mid-1970s on AXR rootstock. Matured for 13 months in 17% new oak, its aromas segue from matchstick, lemon and Greek yogurt to more savory wafts of brioche, beeswax and jasmine. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and expansive, its flavors gently creamy, and its finish is long and flinty. It’s got the weight and energy it needs to age in the cellar over the next decade. 254 cases were made.
