Bright red. Musky black raspberry, cola and floral pastilles on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. Smooth, sweet and seamless on entry, then chewier in the mid-palate, offering intense, Asian spice-tinged red and dark berry flavors and a hint of black tea. Finishes smoky, spicy and long, with fine-grained tannins adding shape and gentle grip.

Wonderfully layered and sensual in the glass, the 2012 Pinot Noir Comptche Ridge Vineyard is all about texture, silkiness and polish. Dark red cherry, plum, licorice, smoke and star anise are some of the many notes that grace the palate in this exquisite, layered Pinot. The 50% whole clusters add lift, but are also nicely integrated.
