Score 92/100 · Drink 2012-2022, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Dec 2012

Jacquelynn’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Cuvee (which is mostly from Andy Beckstoffer’s Missouri Hopper) blasts onto the palate with black fruit, bitter chocolate, new leather, cloves and melted road tar. A dark, masculine wine, the 2010 is full of racy energy and power. Readers should give the brooding, intense 2010 another year or two in bottle. As delicious as the 2010 is, it doesn’t appear to be made in a style that will reward long-term cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2022. These wines from Jacquelynn, the sister label to Chateau Boswell, were made by winemaker Luc Morlet, who was replaced by Russell Bevan with the 2012 harvest. I tasted the 2010 Jacquelynn Cabernet Sauvignons from bottle twice, but never found the pedigree and sheer excitement these wines had when I tasted them in barrel in late 2011. Tel. (707) 963-5472
