Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Nov 2025

The 2015 Rhapszodia is 100% Cabernet Franc for the first time, for a total of six barrels, one of which was press wine. The aromatics are very pretty, but there is no denying that the 2015 is aging faster than the Roberta’s Reserve. There's a bit of angularity that has started to show in the tannins.

The 2015 Rapszodia is dark, powerful and unctuous. In this vintage, the Rapszodia is 100% Cabernet Franc. Intensely aromatic and expressive, the 2015 speaks to finesse and nuance above all else. Still a bit shy from its bottling a few months ago, the 2015 is likely to require at least a few years to be at its best. Even so, it is quite expressive today.

First made in the 2010, yet the first time it’s been 100% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Rapszodia has a true “Wow” nose of ripe currant and cassis fruit intermixed with loads of spring flowers, damp earth, and a Graves-like damp earth/gravely minerality. With full-bodied richness, a gorgeous, layered texture, ultra-fine tannin, and a great finish, it’s going to sing for 20-25+ years. Speaking about the recent vintages, this team loves their 2016s and calls them the purest expressions of their varieties they’ve seen. These are indeed beautiful wines that seem similar to the 2014s, yet with a touch more oomph and mid-palate depth. I loved the 2015s and these are classic wines from Napa Valley that lead with their fruit, yet like all the wines from Kapcsandy, remain beautifully balanced, if not restrained in this vintage. The 2014s are drinking beautifully today, with elegant, classic, even old-world styles, and they’re going to evolve nicely as well. These are all classy, regal wines.

Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Rapszodia has a very deep garnet-purple color and nose of kirsch, cassis, blueberry tart and dark chocolate with hints of violets, pencil shavings, beef drippings and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, incredibly elegant and yet with super-intense red and black fruits, it has a firm structure of grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and minerally.
