The 2000 Proprietary Red Wine (a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Sangiovese, and 11% Petite Sirah) is outstanding. An inky/ruby/purple color is followed by a bouquet of charcoal, toasty oak, espresso roast, and black currants. This dense, rich, full-bodied, sweet wine possesses ripe tannin, low acidity, and a plump, layered, concentrated style.
