Tasting notes
The 2013 Syrah Kick Ranch Vineyard is powerful, bold and intense, with plenty of up-front fruit that gives the wine much of its juicy, forward personality. Plum, crème de cassis, lavender and spice flesh out. This is an especially open-knit, fruit-driven Syrah to drink over the next handful of years.

Two wines that merit attention include the 2013 Syrah Kick Ranch, a 100% Syrah that offers up notes of black olive tapenade, blackberry, cassis, licorice and camphor. Full-bodied, pure, intense and supple, it should drink well for 7-10 years.
