Score 93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2010
Full red. Complex, heady aromas of black raspberry, mocha, incense, smoky minerals and dried flowers. Rich and lush on entry, then sappy and juicy in the middle, with terrific mineral and floral lift to its sweet dark berry and spicecake flavors. Finishes sweetly perfumed and very long, with thoroughly buffered tannins and a whiplash of candied flowers.
