Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2012
Bright ruby-red. Smoky, pungent aromas of dark berry preserves, cola and anise, with slow-building spiciness and a touch of white pepper. Broad and fleshy on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, offering juicy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch of candied rose. Shows impressive clarity and energy on the supple, floral finish.
