Score 94/100 · Drink 2015-2028, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Sep 2015

The age-worthy 2011 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo starts off slow with aromas of dried fruit, apricot, pine nut and crushed mineral. Trebbiano is known as a neutral grape, but it is expressive and articulate in the hands of this historic estate. A slow oxidative process in botte grandi has helped to cement the intensity and the purity of those aromas. The effect is seamless and perfectly integrated. If you are not already a Valentini fan, this wine will win you over. This is an Italian white with a solid track record for long cellar aging. Its natural structure and texture will carry it forward for a decade or more.
