Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2030, Robert Parker, Mar 2016
From a vineyard planted in 1989, the 2014 Pinot Noir Riverblock is a Rochioli selection. This wine offers loads of minerality, a deep ruby purple color, more tannin and structure than some of its siblings, and seems to beg for more patience, as it comes across as more backward and closed. Forget it for 1-2 years and drink it over the following 10-12.

Score 94/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016
The 2014 Pinot Noir River Block, from vines planted on gravel-rich alluvial soils, is one of the more lifted, aromatically expressive wines in this group of Pinots. Crushed flowers, mint, anise, spices and red berries meld together nicely. Sweet floral and spice notes reappear on the finish, adding further aromatic intensity.
