Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2001-2011, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2001
The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Nuits-St.-Georges Les St.-Georges has delicate blackberry aromas. It explodes on the palate with dense, chewy, cherry fruits. It is a feminine, lush, medium-bodied wine without the power or intensity of the Cailles. Drink it over the next 10 years. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel. (510) 524-1524.

Medium ruby-red, not as deep as the Cailles. Sappy-sweet aromas of maraschino cherry, red berry liqueur, violet, licorice and spice. Silky and minerally in the mouth, but rather unforthcoming today and less sweet than the Cailles. Shows more oak influence on the firmly tannic, subtle finish.
