The 2012 Endre Proprietary Red (225 cases) is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine displays juicy blackcurrant fruit and licorice, a lush medium-bodied mouthfeel, a seductive, soft entry on the palate and an attractive finish. It’s delicious, up-front, supple and best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
Kapcsándy's 2012 Endre is soft, succulent and deeply expressive. Sweet floral and tobacco notes open up first, followed by dark red cherry and plum overtones. Juicy and open-knit in the style of the year, the 2012 is drinking beautifully today. This is the last vintage of the Endre, as the Kapcsándys have focused their reds in four distinct offerings. The blend is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
Cedar, tobacco, smoke, dried herbs and licorice are all laced together in the 2012 Endre, the estate's entry-level wine. Lifted and aromatically expressive, the 2012 captures the essence of the vintage in an attractive mid-weight style best suited to near and medium-term drinking.
