Following the négociant model, California winery Kosta Browne has ventured to Burgundy. This Pommard is true to form, showing a deep colour, high-toned purple floral lift and a rich, enveloping black cherry fruit tinged with sage. The palate is broad-shouldered with firm, burly tannins and finishes with a tangy, rusty note and crunchy acidity. Aged in 38% new French oak. (JC)
