There was just 5 tons of fruit from the Pisoni Vineyard in 2015 (this wine comes from single block) and everything was fermented in open top wood and concrete fermenters. Mostly destemmed and aged in 36% new French oak, the 2015 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard is a rich, exuberant wine that shows the more masculine, structured style of the vineyard. Notes of black raspberry, blackcurrants, smoked herbs, violets and hints of crushed rock all emerge from this beauty that has the cut and depth of the vineyard, yet stays graceful and lively on the palate. With good acidity and fine tannin, it will be better with short-term cellaring and keep for a decade.

In 2015, earthy and floral notes are quite prominent, while the fruit lies more in the background. Firm tannins add grip on the background. The 2015 is a pretty wine but also a big stylistic departure from the past.
