Tasting notes
The 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is straight up classic. Black raspberries, spice, caramelized cherries and forest floor characteristics all flow to a rich, balanced, gorgeously textured wine that has perfectly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol. It has fine, yet present tannin and a great finish, and will easily keep through 2025.

The 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is another terrific appellation-level Pinot. This is the first year in which the Sonoma Coast Pinot is more truly coastal, with more of an influence from sites in the Freestone area. Succulent black cherry, plum, hard candy and expressive floral notes are all supported by beams of firm tannin and lively acidity that add verve as well as freshness.
The bright fruit and hints of citrus come through clearly in this wine on the nose. Medium to full body, linear fine tannins and a fresh citrusy backbone of acidity. Lively.
Lots of the blue fruits and dried flowers on the nose. Oyster shell too. Medium to full body, linear and vibrant. Energetic. Clean and intense finish. Drink or hold.
