From lower down the slope, the 2023 Meursault Le Limozin is more exotic, bursting with aromas of honeyed orchard fruit, orange oil and musky peach, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered palate that's pure and enveloping, concluding with a saline finish.

Cask sample. Mid lemon. Apple, lemon, pear. Medium-bodied, quite expansive. Not excessively mineral. Precise, quality Meursault. (MH)

The 2023 Meursault Limozin is always a tricky cuvée to read from barrel and this year is no different. It's a little muted at first, only reluctantly opening in the glass. The palate is more expressive with smooth, slightly honeyed citrus fruit tones, but I find the finish needs more acidity (like the Les Chevalières). It's probably more early-drinking than Germain's other cuvées.
