Good full red-ruby. Captivating nose offers raspberry, mocha, black cardamom, black tea, underbrush and sexy spices. Big, rich and sweet, with a texture of liquid silk. Wonderfully concentrated and sappy, with generous strawberry and spice flavors. Best today on the finish, which boasts excellent structure and grip, and lingering notes of spicecake and ginger to go along with the sweet fruit. This still needs a year or two of bottle aging and may ultimately merit an even higher rating.
