Pale yellow. Sexy aromas of yellow peach, menthol and hazelnut. At once dense and bright, showing limited fat and coming across as rather tight today. In a leaner, even slightly pinched style, but finishes with good length and lift, leaving notes of lemon verbena and menthol behind in the empty glass.

The 2016 Meursault En La Barre was damaged 70% by the frost in this vintage. Nevertheless, it seems to shrug that off with a delightful bouquet with white flower aromas filtering though the citrus fruit with hints of yellow plum. The palate is crisp and focused, quite powerful with good weight and a slightly waxy texture toward the finish. Very fine.
