Even better, and one of the gems in this report, the 2015 Creu Alta is 50% Cariñena, 40% Garnacha, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in 80% new French oak. This is a real “Wow” wine, its deep purple color followed by a stunning bouquet of spiced plums, spiced meats, blackberries, and graphite. With medium to full-bodied richness, a seamless texture, sweet tannins, and a blockbuster finish, this beauty has everything. It’s terrific today yet is going to cruise for another 15 years or so.
