Tasting notes
A cuvée produced from what's essentially the garden behind the domaine, the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle reveals lovely aromas of sweet berry fruit, plums, licorice and rich soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, succulent and charming, with velvety tannins and a lively core of fruit, this is one of the most immediately seductive cuvées in the cellar.

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle is opulent on the nose, which features mainly red fruit in this cuvée; scents of incense and orange peel develop with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, good density and fine delineation on the finish. Stylish.
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle was showing a bit of reduction on the nose when I tasted it from barrel. The palate is well balanced and stocked with red currant and cranberry, but I will reserve judgment until this is in bottle.
