A good year for the Crozes appellation, which can at times let yields get out of control in good vintages, the 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Silene sports a vivid purple hue (it's not completely opaque) to go with a terrific perfume of blackberries, black raspberries, minty herbs, pepper, and spring flowers. It's medium-bodied, has a balanced, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It's another terrific Syrah from this estate that's well worth your time and money.
