Tasting notes
From the original rows that have always defined this cuvée, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Verdad is slightly darker, with more chocolate, tobacco, earth, and lead pencil-like nuances. Rich, full-bodied, and massively concentrated, it brings a touch more density and mid-palate depth compared to the La BAM, although both are utterly brilliant wines. This will probably have a slightly longer life as well.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer La Verdad Las Piedras Vineyard is a dense, unctuous wine with silky tannins, soft contours and notable concentration. La Verdad is a rare Las Piedras Cabernet that is built more on fruit richness than minerality or structure. At present, the new oak is a bit overpowering. The 2015 should drink well relatively early.
Very deep inky-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Verdad is scented of freshly crushed black currants, warm blackberries and black cherries with touches of incense, damp earth and cigar boxes plus a waft of anise. Full-bodied and beautifully poised in the mouth, the elegant fruit layers are well framed by very fine, pixelated tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and layered.
