Score 92/100 · Drink 2003-2008, Robert Parker, Dec 2003
The deep ruby-colored 2001 Pinot Noir (2,044 cases) displays a spectacularly complex, sweet, expansive bouquet of damp earth, autumn leaves, smoke, sweet berries, and a hint of roasted meats. Medium to full-bodied, layered, and complex, it is a total hedonistic as well as intellectual turn-on. Consume it over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (925) 254-8922; Fax (925) 254-8942

Good full deep red. Smoky, roasted red fruits, cinnamon, earth and meat on the expressive nose. Supple and open in the mouth, with slightly muted flavors of strawberry, maraschino cherry and raspberry. Finishes with slightly drying but fine tannins.
